Morning shift SSC – Tier 1 2015 Test form No: 3149329 Questions and its Answers:

37) A piece of paper is folded and cut as shown below in the question figures. From the given answer figures, indicate how it will appear when opened.

           Answer : A
Logic : When we fold a paper and cut it in one section, the impression will be there in all 4 sections when we unfold it.
The impression is not present in all section of Image B and D so ignore it. The cut made in 4th section of the question differs from the 4th section of Image C, so it cannot be the answer.
4th section of Image A is similar to the question.
Try this with a paper for better understanding. Unfold it and below would be the result.

38) If the words are organised in reverse order of what they appear in dictionary, which word will come in third place.

           A) Occulist                                    B) Odium
           C) Odious                                      D) Ordeum

          Answer : Odious
Logic: Order as per dictionary Occulist,Odious,Odium,Oordeum
The third word if we see in reverse order is Odious.

Question 39, 40: Which answer figure will complete the pattern in the question figure?
 39)

           Answer : A
Logic : Question has 8 rectangles in it and each has a diagonal line from left lower corner to right top corner. The missing section covers two rectangles in which it also misses the diagonal lines.
If we amend the answer A it completes the figure.
Refer the image below:
  40)

           Answer : A
Logic : The missing should complete both the circle and the triangle at the right bottom. The perfect match would be A as other image will remain incomplete even if we amend them.
Refer the image below:

Questions 41,42 : Identify the diagram that best represents the relationship among the classes given below:

41) Vegetables, Potatoes , Eatables.

       Answer : A

All Potatoes are Vegetables, all vegetables are Eatables.

Note : If the Question is Vegetables,Chocolates,Eatables then answer B would be the answer.
Vegetables and chocolates are Eatables whereas chocolate is not a vegetable and they both                  doesn't have any relationship.
