Morning shift SSC – Tier 1 2015 Test form No: 3149329 Questions and its Answers:

One or two statements is given followed by two conclusions/assumptions, I and II. You have to consider the statement to be true , even if it seems to be at variance from commonly known facts. you are to decide which of the given conclusions/assumptions can be definitely drawn from the statement.

Before answering these type of questions read it twice or thrice to get a better idea.

31) Statement : No rod is pod. No pod is Flexible.
Inferences : I. No Rod is flexible
                               II. Some pods are flexible.
         A) Both of them follows.
         B) Only inference I follows.
         C) Only inference II follows.
         D) Neither of them follows.

Answer : D. Neither of them follows.
Logic: I Inferences says no rod is flexible - it refers to rod not pod, its mentioned in statement as no pod is flexible it means some rod may be flexible. so inference I isn't true.
II says some pods are flexible, while our statement says No pod is flexible. Thus Inference II is also not true. Answer is Neither of them follows.

32) Statement : A Good Book even if costly is sold out in no time.
Assumptions : I. Some books are better than others.
II. All good books are costly

                     A) 5                                                 B) 1
                     C) 4                                                 D) 2

       Answer : 5
Logic : Out of six faces, five faces are shown here -1st dice 6,1,3 & 2nd dice 6,4,5. The left out face should be 2 as 1,3,4,5,6 are already shown. By keeping six as reference if we open the cube it will be like,

From the above image it is clear that 5 should be the answer
