Morning shift SSC – Tier 1 2015 Test form No: 3149329 Questions and its Answers:

Select the missing numbers from the given responses:

   25)

             A) 12                                              B) 7
             C) -12                                            D) 9

            Answer: -12
            Logic : The Missing number would be the product of all numbers.
                         Image 1 - 2x2x3 =12
                         Image 2 - 2x3x5 = 30
                         Image 3 - 5x1x-1 = -5
                         Image 4 - 4x3x-1 = -12

  26)

          A) 49                                            B) 36
          C) 46                                            D) 48

           Answer : 36
           Logic : Third number in the row is the result of addition of first two numbers
                        72 = 40+32
                        54 = 30+24
                        90 = ? + 54 => 36 should be the answer

   27)

          A) 16                                           B) 12
          C) 90                                           D) 48

          Answer : 90
          Logic : The missing number is the product of all the numbers around it.
                       Image 1 - 1x3x4x5 =60
                       Image 2 - 6x7x1x2 = 84
                       Image 3 - 3x10x3x1 = 90

  28)

          A) 1332                                       B) 1321
          C) 1231                                       D) 1331

          Answer : 1331
          Logic :  4^3 = 64
                        7^3 = 343
                        11^3 = 1331

   29)

            A) 535                                       B) 451
            C) 702                                       D) 154

           Answer : 154
           Logic : When we get these kind of questions, first try to add all and locate the result,else multiply all. When these logic fails then Add all the values or Multiply all the values and find the relationship between your answer and the provided number.

          Ex: 0+6+4+5+1+3 = 19. Relationship between 19 & 133 is 19x7 = 133. Now check this logic with other sets.
                 8+2+5+3+4+6 = 28 => 28 x 7 = 196 (hence logic is correct)
                 2+1+5+7+4+3 = 22 => 22 x 7 = 154

30) Name a single letter, which can be deleted from the body of the following owrds to form entirely new words?
       HOST POST COST LOST STOP

       A) T                                              B) P
       C) S                                              D) O

         Answer : S
         Logic : Removal of a single letter from the word will form a new word.
                      Removing S from HOST will form a new word HOT.
                                  POST = POT
                                  COST = COT
                                  LOST = LOT
                                  STOP = TOP , so the answer is S.
